Important Ad-writing Tips
1. Choose your first word carefully. The
first word is set in bold by default. Ads appear
alphabetically within each category by first
word. Do not use asterisks, tildes or special
characters at the beginning of your ad to trick
your ad to the top. These will be removed.
2. To shorten your ad, use common abbreviations.
Don’t just lop off the end of the word or take vowels away—people
might not know what you are talking about. Don’t remove spaces
between words as this will make your ad illegible. We want our
ads to be useful to our readers and to work for you.
Missing spaces will be replaced and your card will be charged
for any difference.
